Australian Standard AS 2210.3:2019 covers the specific requirements for safety footwear, providing guidelines for design, performance, testing, and marking to ensure that footwear offers adequate protection for workers in or nearby hazardous environments. This standard is aligned with international standards (particularly ISO 20345) and is relevant across various industries, including construction, manufacturing, mining, and other sectors where protective footwear is necessary.
Safety footwear requires a toe cap (usually steel or composite) that can protect against a weight of 20 kilograms falling from a height of 1 metre and a compression weight of 1.5 tonnes. All our safety footwear also meets Australian Standards for durability, slip resistance, penetration resistance, electrical insulation, and thermal insulation.
